Venus Flytrap are the most popular Carnivorous Plants.
They are fascinating to watch and are favorite subjects for science projects. They are a wonderful hobby for anyone.
I have been asked some strange questions about the eating habits of Venus Flytrap...and no, there are no Venus Flytrap that can catch dogs or small children.
In fact, they aren't capable of consuming anything larger than perhaps a cricket and that would be a feast that would last for a long time. So
they are quite safe as first pets for your youngsters.

Venus Flytrap Bare Root Specimens |
Many of you may buy Venus Flytrap "bare root" if you order them from Internet sites. These pictures are of some healthy
bare root specimens and are what you should expect to be shipped to you. Sizes vary of course but the general appearance should be the same.
Buying bare root plants saves you money on shipping and they're really quite easy to plant. They will usually start growing within
a couple of weeks after being potted up.
The specimen on the far left is a Red Dragon, the top right is a Dente and the bottom right is a Typical. You can see the growth pattern is
already established.
